To begin on our journey we must look at God's map, the Bible, and follow it.

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" Hebrews 4:12

[Jesus said] " Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." Matthew 24:35

All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever." Isaiah 40:6b,8

All of us have wandered around lost, but there is only one way to a new life.

"Jesus answered and said unto him, ' Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he can not see the kingdom of God.' " John 3:3

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12

"He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy." Proverbs 28:13

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the time of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord..." Acts 3:19
 
 

Jesus has already blazed the trail for our journey. Any other road is a certain dead end.
 
 

" For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all... " I Timothy 2:5,6a

" Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed." I Peter 2:24

[Jesus said] " I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved." John 10:9a

"God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
 
 

You can not make the journey to heaven on your own. You must trust Jesus to take you there.
 
 

" And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt shall be saved , and thy house." Acts 16:31

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9,10

" I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed shall live:" Deuteronomy 30:19
 
 

With Christ as your companion, there is no danger of getting lost. He will always stay close.

"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. " Philippians 1:6

"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life: and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things hath I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." I John 5:11-13
 
 

Now you are on the right road, but it is important to live the way God wants you to. Trust in God to help you over the bumps and through the pot holes.
 
 

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." II Corinthians 5:17

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." I Corinthians 6:19,20

" And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit." Galatians 5:24,25

"But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form the doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin." Romans 6:17,18a
